The program works great but I don't want my disk to be ON all the time.

I think you should add the option to turn the disk OFF after the "X time(30min, 1h,...)" of user inactivity. And when the user returns to the PC than turn it ON again.

Hi mate, would it be possible to add an option to add extra drive selections - that is, more than the current 5? I have 13 external drives which I need to keep running. I can manage this with multiple instances of v2 of NoSleep, but it would be great to have a single instance because of the space that multiple instance icons take up on the Task Bar or in The Notifications area. Also, autostart would be easier. I have been using Favesoft's DriveAlive, but that has no options for changing the timing and can only be run from the command line or a batch file.

By the way, I really like NoSleep so far. I have only just discovered it :-)

Don't forget, you can go to the properties of the file and choose the default as "run as administrator" which is what I needed to run the program in windows 7. Also, choose to unblock it there as well since windows 7 and Vista always ask for permission when opening random .EXE files.

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - Works perfectly. I use this for a bar/club dj computer. I have 3 different djs that bring their own external drive and this keeps them awake. Some of the music is played from the internal HD and when they go back to a song from the external, the application has 5-6 second freeze. But NOT with NoSleepHD!!! Thank you for this. I have this application on auto run at login.

I'm also unsure if this is being actively developed, but I'd like to echo the request for deleting the file after it's created, or maybe at least choosing where it's saved to?

Also an option for the X to minimize to tray instead of closing would be a nice option too.

This program is great, but a few extra options would make it perfect. It would be appreciated!

Thanks. It seems that simply installing a later version doesn't do the trick. When I loaded another app today that required .NET 1.1, having other later .NET versions loaded didn't Help.

This error message: Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application usually occurs when you are using the .NET Framework. To fix the this issue, please try the following steps:

Actually, now I'm running it, it works ok, however, once minimized to the system tray, I am unable to access it to look at the menu. Right click or left click, nothing happens.

Oops, double clicking the tray icon works.

Hi, I'm running v2 on Windows 7 x64. I used compatability mode - vista sp2, run as administrator. Seems fine so far. ( I had the same error as yourself initially)

I have been using your version 1.0 on Win 7 Ultimate 64bit. Great software. I am running two disks externally. I noticed V2.0 and downloaded it but I am unable to get it to install. The error message reads that NoSleepHD has stopped working. I then installed .net framwork 4 as I read one of your discussions which said that it needed .net framework 2 and MS updates had only installed .netframework 1.1 on my pc. (Not sure why MS updates is not keeping the software updated). Any ideas on what is the problem could be? Cheers

If you give me some more information such as OS, Antivirus, Drive Configuration etc., I might be able to narrow the problem down.

hello people,

I'm using this program for a while now and I like it very much. But now I've got a (small?) problem. I've bought a new PC with Windows 7 (64bit) and an external Samsung Story Station 1.5 Tb. And of course I want to use NoSleepHD to keep my external disk awake. When I run the program the 'normal' way it hangs the minute I start it. When I run it as an administrator it works perfect. But here's the problem: when I boot my PC it wants to run NoSleepHD (cause I told it so) and then it also hangs... (because at boot time it's not being ran as an administrator??). Maybe there's a simple solution to this problem. Does anyone have an idea? I'm just a Windows-7-beginner... Thanx!
